Our first job was to set up our showcase alongside the other milliners who had been invited to the event...and boy oh boy, were we in great company!
Here's what our little space looked like after we'd set up.
We had been booked to deliver our 'Journeys into Millinery' talk...and it was our very first time giving it in public! We also knew the talk had completely sold out, so that didn't add to the pressure at all, nope, not one bit!
We hope everyone enjoyed it, we took the fantastic applause we got as good sign that we had delivered an interesting and insightful talk. There were some laughs, there were no tears and none of us were sick with nerves...if you'd seen us just before the audience arrived, you may have thought that was a distinct possibility.
And to prove everyone survived, here's our lovely audience!
We had a simply fantastic day at HATstock and we have to offer our gratitude and huge thanks to the amazing Bronwen Simpson and all the Hat Works staff who worked so, so hard to make the event happen. We were so honoured to be invited to take part and it was a privilege to be involved in such a brilliantly organised event.
Hats off folks, you nailed it! Thank you from The Hat Stand
