Who's Who at Hat Stand?
The Hat Stand is about three Sheffield-based milliners working together to achieve far more than they could in splendid isolation.
They say there is strength in numbers and we feel that we have proved this to be true! We all have our own skills and networks which we have been able to share with each other, not only to the benefit of our own individual businesses, not even collectively, but to the greater benefit of all those who have helped us. For more information about our helpers since 2014, please visit the Our Helpers page. If you would like to meet a specific milliner at this year's pop-up shop, please do get in touch to check our availability. We hope this will allow you to plan your visit for a day that you preferred milliner will be in store. |

Siobhan Nicholson Millinery - Siobhan Nicholson
Siobhan studied at the London College of Fashion, specialising in Millinery, in the 1980s and went on to work as an apprentice with Royal Milliner Phillip Somerville.
Her work uses traditional millinery skills and materials with a fresh and sometimes amusing twist. Siobhan likes to explore different, often unconventional ways, of producing the shapes and finishes she's looking for in her pieces.
Taking inspiration from the seashore, this Summer's collection includes sinamay shells and starfish riding on waves and splashes sprinkled with pearl and glass beads.

Amanda Moon Headwear- Amanda Moon
Amanda designs and creates small hats, fascinators and hair accessories for all occasions and all seasons. She keeps a small range of ready-to-wear pieces but mainly works on a bespoke basis.
Her interest is in capturing the personality and style of clients in her pieces so they feel completely at ease and truly represented by what they wear. The shapes and forms appeal to those who love to indulge in accessorising but equally to the lady who is a little hat shy and is looking for something that offers an alternative to the traditional brimmed hat or fascinator.
Expect to see flowers brought together in understated, delicate pieces through to wild and quirky combinations.
Alongside her making, Amanda also leads private party workshops, more details of which can be found on her social media.
